Workshops

Ready to add a new tool to your kit? Our workshops are where curiosity meets craftsmanship. Join us for guided, skill-based sessions at some of North Jersey’s inspired locations.

No more “someday” - this is your chance to finally learn the art of your craft of choice in a space designed for social connection. Our workshops are designed for everyone from beginners to seasoned stitchers. We provide a beautiful, exclusive pattern kit and the expertise. You provide the hands and conversation, and you walk away with a fun new piece to finish and a brand-new skill.

Slow Stitch Soiree

The Slow Stitch is where our mission comes to life. It’s a three-hour intentional “slow-down” designed to foster community and radical inclusivity through the art of making.

By bringing together local food, live music, and a curated maker’s market, we create an environment where the “social” is just as important as the “stitch.” We aren’t just making projects; we’re making friends, supporting local businesses, and reclaiming our time.

No matter your background or skill level, there is a seat at the table for you.

Private Events

Host a gathering that is equal parts creative and connective. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, hosting a bridal shower, or just getting the group together for a night in, Sharp and Social brings the workshop experience directly to your doorstep. We handle the instruction and the materials; you simply provide the space and the guests. It’s the perfect way to learn a new skill with your favorite people.

Who we are

We believe in the power of slow hands. In an age of instant gratification, we choose the deliberate. We believe that making things with your hands is good for your brain, but making them with your friends is good for the soul. We believe that the craft is a radical act of presence, a way to reclaim our attention and quiet the noise of the screen.

We believe the “Yap” is as vital as the “Stitch.” Creativity shouldn’t be a solitary pursuit. We believe that the best ideas are born across tables, fueled by a dirty martini and shared laughter. We are building a social network made of real threads and real faces.

We believe in the local ecosystem. A community is only as strong as its neighbors. That’s why we intentionally partner with local bookstores, independent musicians, and neighborhood vendors. When you join us, you’re supporting the creative heartbeat of our city.

We believe in inclusivity. Expertise is not a prerequisite for entry. We celebrate the messy first drafts, the tangled threads, and the “perfectly imperfect” finished hoops. Our doors are open to every maker, every skill level, and every story.

Stay Sharp. Get Social.
